the National Center for Remanu- facturing & Resource Recovery (NC3R), an internationally recog- nized expert in the research and pro- motion of remanufacturing located on the Rochester Institute of Tech- nology (RIT) campus. ROFC’s sus- tainable and cost-effective product is certified to be up to 94 percent post consumer recycled – the highest in the industry. According to the NC3R; “Reman- ufacturing is the process of recover- ing used, worn-out products (often referred to as ‘cores’) that would otherwise become part of the waste- stream, and restoring them to a ‘like new’ condition. The remanufacturing process at Roberts has a number of steps. Incoming cores are inspected; severely damaged units are recycled. Usable cores are disassembled down to the basic steel components, which are cleaned, inspected and prepared for surface refinishing. After the components have been refinished, they are powder coated, cured and reassembled to be shipped to the cus- tomer.” ROFC offers the exact warran-
