Gingerbread men on the march! First meeting of Midlands group at Enville Golf Club is a success
ON Thursday 2nd April the first meeting of the Midlands Gingerbread Group took place at Enville Golf Club in Staffordshire. The day was a real success with great enthusiasm being generated amongst the group to push forward with the traditional, more sustainable methods and practices associated with the group.
The day involved a number of short presentations in the clubhouse by Jonathan Wood, Course Manager at Enville, who had organised the day, and Stuart Yarwood, Course Manager at Lymm Golf Club, who is a founder member of the original Gingerbread group. The group was then taken on a course walk to experience the work completed and ongoing at Enville. Andy Cole, Regional Agronomist at the STRI, joined the group and gave an informative presentation during the walk.
