new aGenCy launChes in west london Gardiner Residential, a boutique estate agency has opened in Ealing Broadway. Husband and wife team, lan and Emma Gardiner share 30 years in the industry with Emma working for one of the large corporates while lan was based in Kensington & Chelsea for the last 15 years.


Emma says, “I am really excited about our new venture, having lived in Ealing my whole life and having my children in local schools, I feel we really know the area, what it has to offer and how exciting the future is looking for the local property market.”


Fine & Country land on Guernsey


Fine & Country has arrived on the Channel island of Guernsey joining island agent Livingroom, a major player in the Bailiwick since starting business in 2006. Chief Operating Office Mike Bidwell said,


“We’re very pleased to have Livingroom on board. The company provides a perfect fit with our ‘lifestyle’ philosophy – and together with


our existing presence on Jersey, means that Fine & Country is now the premium estate agency brand across the Channel Islands.” Livingroom’s co-director Simon Torode said, “No other agent on the island can offer the international impact that Fine & Country can provide and we wanted to be able to present such a service exclusively.”


linley & simpson leeds makeover


Linley & Simpson has given its Swinegate office a major makeover. Leeds city centre branch manager Gaynor Barratt said: “We have given the branch a modern and striking new look – but the same high levels of customer service remain. Since launching in the city centre five years ago, we have seen a year-on- year increase in the number of lets achieved. The market remains very strong and the investment we have made in revamping the office, harnessing the latest technology, and taking on extra staff members is a clear signal of our confidence in its future.”

Two Yorkshire organisations have merged to create a new company. Holroyds Property1897 based in Dewsbury and Simon Miller Property located in Wakefield launched Holroyd – Miller in April. Simon Miller explained, “Holroyds have rightly been viewed as the premier organisation in the region in respect of commercial property, valuations, surveys and property rentals. Our company has achieved an enviable reputation for residential property sales so it made perfect sense to combine


the talents, proficiencies and experience in both organisations and create a new entity to cover the entire spectrum of issues in the world of property.” Jonathan Kidd of Holroyds added, “There were obvious synergies between the original organisations. We now have one of the most skilled, knowledgeable and dedicated team of integrated property professionals in the region working together and offering unparalleled levels of seamless service.”

miChael vauGhan’s new BridGFords BranCh Over 200 people attended the official opening of the 57th Bridgfords branch in Walkden, Manchester by ex-England Cricket captain Michael Vaughan.


Leading up to the official opening day, Bridgfords launched


a ‘paint your parents house’ competition for children. The competition had 100 entries from with a Sony PSP signed by Michael Vaughan offered as the top prize. The winning picture was from Andrea Hunt from North Walkden Primary School. Mark Alcroft MD, said, “The day was a great success and really put Bridgfords Walkden on the map. Since opening we’ve seen demand go from strength to strength as the market in Walkden, Worsley and the surrounding areas is extremely buoyant.”


Partner, Laurence Glynne, comments, “Our extensive knowledge of the West End means that expansion into the development of shops and offices is a welcome natural progression.
