Details for the countrywide OPAL surveys on air quality monitored using lichens and trees, earthworm numbers and species (there are 26) and pond creatures can be obtained from the trust. These surveys, which are both educational and fun, can be completed by anyone.


The trust, which is a member of the Dartmoor Partnership, co-operates with local organisations and places of interest to encouraging more visitors to the area. The DNP education officer works closely with the trust to organise school visits which are innovative and exciting. As in previous years, the guided walks are
