Totnes Rare Breeds Farm Standing out from the rest
LOOKING for a fantastic day out? This family-owned attraction is small enough to provide a friendly and personal service, with enough to keep visitors happy all day.
● Feed and fuss the rare breed sheep and goats
● Enjoy educational talks on our fantastic wildlife
● Admire the varied breeds of poultry ● Visit the hedgehogs in their hospital ● Cuddle the guinea pigs ● Marvel at the antics of the red squirrels ● Get as close as possible to the splendid owls…and more.
Totnes Rare Breeds Farm is a non-profit- making organisation, which relies on the work
of volunteers and the great support of its customers. It aims to preserve endangered species of farm animals and the diversity of British wildlife. It is also a fantastic day out! What sets the attraction is the opportunity to be within hugging range of all the animals. Most enclosures can be entered for close-up stroking, patting and cuddling.
The well-respected Garden Café (which can be visited without paying for farm entrance) offers made-to-order dishes at reasonable prices, from indulgent snacks to tasty meals. The farm is just 400 yards from Totnes train station, so you could even leave the car at home. Travel by steam train on a discounted joint
ticket.
Both the railway and farm are disabled- friendly with easy access.
