Then he watched the old man carefully cut the burger in half, divide up the chips, and pour half of the drink into the extra cup, before he started to eat. Touched by their obvious poverty, the young man asked if he could buy them another meal so the didn’t have to share the one meal. “Oh no,” said the man. “This is the way we always do things.
