EDITOR’S LETTER

Just like the cover photo shows, spring is in the air and Ultimate is going to be

a hoot this summer. With hot weather the prediction, we’re sure (hopefully) to have a drier summer than 2009. But that means a reminder too to stay healthy and hydrated (see next issue on this topic). In this issue there is much to talk and read about. It’s looking like the biggest news is with the Ultimate Canada Conference, CUPA’s name change, and all the exciting programs and growth plans around the corner; be sure to check it out on page 12. We’re also really excited to tell you about the athletes, coach and volunteer of

the year awards. Read about each of these awesome individuals and about their leadership and commitment to the sport, which not only got them nominated, but awarded them the gold. Much to read on each of them on page 22. For the individual Ultimate player (that’s you) you’ll really benefit from reading about offence and defence in the Thoughts department (page 9); the Ultimate Handbook playbook (page 11 & 16); and Ultimate Rob’s video tip (page 8). Lastly, lay back on the couch and explore “which type of perfectionist are you?”

Freudian analysis article on page 6. Pretty interesting. Spring is here, get out there and play like it’s Nationals.
