The Ultimate Canada

Conference

Exciting road ahead

BY ERIN VAN REGEN

Over 50 representatives from leagues,

PSOs, and organizations from across the country gathered in Montreal this past November at the 4th Annual Ultimate Canada Conference (UCC). Hosted by l’Association de Ultimate de Montreal (AUM) and held in the heart of downtown Montreal, two full days all about Ultimate’s ‘hot’ topics lay ahead for conference attendees. Sessions touched on a wide range of topics from Juniors and National Coaching Certification Programs to innovative leagues, from long-term planning to providing value to recreational players. The CUC 2010 organizing committee from Sherbrooke, QC also paid a visit and gave us a sneak peek at some of the things we may be seeing come August! Conference sessions were held in conjunction with Observer Train- The-Trainer sessions led by the UPA’s Greg Connelly. With coast-to-coast participation in this year’s training, the future of the Canadian Observers program is looking bright! A chance to bond outside the sessions
