The Raquel Peña Spanish
Flamenco Dance Company
Next Charity Concert
Raquel Peña from the Raquel Peña Spanish
Flamenco Dance Company, Jane Cronin, president,
ADAPT(Asociación de Angloparlantes de San Pedro
del Pinatar), Joan Mitchell for Help Murcia Mar
Menor and Luisa Sirvent representing the Human
Rights Association of Spain(Murcia branch) are all
joining forces for a major charity concert of Spanish
Flamenco Dance on Sunday, November 22nd to be
held at the Cine Moderno, in San Pedro del Pinatar,
Murcia curtain up for 5:30pm.
Spokesperson and organizer, Raquel Peña is very pleased to
announce the cooperation of these four organizations for this
special charity event ,with donations going to Help Murcia
Mar Menor and funds to help the San Pedro town hall charity
appeal for the Saharaui refugees. These are fully registered
and legitimate charities, both chosen for their records of helping
people in need.
ADAPT is presenting this show and as always, the Raquel
Peña Spanish Flamenco Dance Company is planning a very
colourful, exciting programme, with many new dances, new
costumes and new dancers. Raquel always includes a segment
of old favourites such as Ravel’s Bolero, and her castanet solo
plus many others. Though Raquel tried to officially “retire”
from performing, she has been bombarded with requests to
come out of retirement and has promised to do a cameo
appearance somewhere throughout the evening. Jay Markwick,
soloist with the Company will be making his own come back in this performance, after
being unfortunately sidelined with a knee injury since August.
Raquel is very pleased that Jane Cronin and Luisa Sirvent have agreed to compere
the evening, and the whole programme promises to be a night to remember.
This whole event has been made possible through the support of the Department of
Cultural Affairs of San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia. All the seats always sell out very
quickly for these performances so please book your tickets as soon as possible as
not be disappointed.
