WHY MISS GREAT BRITAIN
USES TELITEC
It’s been widely reported that former Miss Great
Britain, Gemma Garrett, visited our little corner of
the world recently. We caught up with Gemma at the
Telitec offices in Moraira during her visit and
managed to ask her a few questions about her varied
life.
On being Miss GB 2008, she recounted the fantastic memories
of winning, and all the great opportunities she got to travel
and meet people, though she found having to move from her
family in Belfast to London a bit tricky at first. She soon got
used to the public attention and countless cameras thrust in her face.
But there’s more to Gemma than glamour. She stood trice as an independent MP,
and is currently working to move her career into media. She’s already a presenter
on Ulster TV, and has appeared in commercials and has played a movie scene
opposite Mr James Bond himself, Daniel Craig. Gemma recognises that she can be
useful in the corporate promotions world, and is keen to pursue that as well (so if
you need a Miss GB to promote your products, you know who to call).
I asked Gemma about the Telitec link. When she first visited Spain, she spent an
‘absolute fortune’ on her mobile, calling and texting home. She reckoned this
couldn’t go on. “Telitec were great, they gave me a mobile phone and a SIM card,
but I DID pay for my own calls, and I saved tons of money. I only needed 1 topup
for the whole trip, and if you knew how much I used my phone, you’d know that
was almost a miracle”.
