Aer Lingus expands routes on transatlantic network

Ben Ireland ben.ireland@travelweekly.co.uk

Aer Lingus has introduced flights from Dublin to Miami as it looks to increase its transatlantic capacity by 21%.

The three-times-a-week flights

begin on September 1, 2017, with one-way fares starting at £279. Routes from Dublin to Newark,

Hartford and Los Angeles were added earlier this year. From May, flights to Los Angeles will operate daily during the summer months rather than four times a week.

EXPANSION: Aer Lingus will fly to Miami three times a week

Existing Dublin flights to

Orlando will increase to four times a week from three in May,

while Dublin to Chicago flights increased to a double-daily service in September. British passengers can connect

to Dublin from 18 UK destinations with Aer Lingus and when doing so can pre-clear US Customs and Immigration before they reach the US. Aer Lingus has also added flights

from Dublin to Porto, Portugal, and Split, Croatia, to its summer schedule. Chief executive Stephen Kavanagh said: “We are delighted to announce the further expansion

of our transatlantic network.” aerlingus.com
