The International Institute for Anti-Ageing (iiaa) has developed a new tailored training workshop for the beauty industry designed to support its 2016 jane iredale campaign ‘#ITONLYTAKESAMINUTE’, which launched last month.
In this fast-paced, hands on, one-day workshop, industry professionals will learn to maximise the result of their skin care treatment by finishing with jane iredale make-up.
Skin care brand, Matis Paris, recently announced the winners of its popular Matis Student of the Year Competition.
The judging of the competition commenced during early February and saw nine finalists battle it out for one of the three awards. Judged in areas such as technique, technical and product knowledge and appearance, this year’s standard was extremely high.
The eventual winners were named as Shauna Cole, Kelsey Murphy and Aoife Humpston, all from Black Further Education Institute.
The winners and their tutors, Siobhan Dunne, Gillian Byrne and GTI Tutor Erin Casey, recently travelled to the French capital where they visited the luxurious Matis office in Ave Foch, accompanied by Jessica of Matis Paris and Andréa Ni Éalaithe of Star Products International. The group also visited the skin care brand’s laboratory and factory, the Eiffel Tower plus spent time shopping along the Champs Elysees (pictured).
The iiaa trainer will demonstrate how incorporating the jane iredale ‘power of three’ philosophy into the salon’s business operations has the potential to deliver additional revenue and increase customer loyalty. In just one minute, each participant will learn how to apply the ‘power of three’ for the perfect base after any facial treatments. Additionally, they will also discover how quick and easy it can be to achieve warmth and colour on the eye and cheeks from a single product demonstrating the multi-functional qualities of the make-up range. The one-day course will also share tips and techniques on switching brushes not products to complete different stages of make-up, sales advice on how to introduce clients to the product and finally how to close the sale.
Training workshops run from May to September 2016 and will be offered at all iiaa training centres.

Award wins
New CID Cosmetics scooped three honours in the 2016 Beauty Shortlist Awards, which were announced last month.
The brand, which is distributed by Hennessy Hair & Beauty, was awarded ‘Best Lipgloss’ for i-gloss and ‘Best Eyeliner’ for i-flick. Alongside these wins, the range picked up the prestigious title of ‘Best Make-up Brand’ for the second year running.
The 2016 Beauty Shortlist Awards’ winners were chosen from thousands of entries after undergoing six months of testing across 10 judges.
