ITC Luxury revives Kids in the Med family range

Former luxury family brand Kids in the Med is being revived after a five‑year gap by new owner ITC Luxury Travel Group.
The brand was last operated
by Western and Oriental Travel, which was acquired by ITC in 2015. Group chief executive Jennifer
Atkinson said the move to relaunch the family brand was made before the buyout and was based on travel agent feedback. “The brand has retained strong
recognition among agents, who appreciated the emphasis it placed on the family-friendly aspects of each holiday and resort,” she said. W&O had dropped the brand and merged product into a Western & Oriental Worldwide Family Holidays programme, which failed to gain trade support. The new Kids in the Med

Away Resorts buys and renames park property on Essex island
Holiday park operator Away Resorts has bought Mersea Island resort Cosways for an undisclosed sum. The addition of the Essex park, which will be
renamed Mersea Island Holiday Park, increases Away Resorts’ portfolio of properties to five. New facilities at the park include a private beach, heated swimming pool, tennis court, bar and club
