According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), an ‘on-time’ flight is defined as departing or arriving at a UK airport either early or up to 15 minutes late, and 75% of scheduled flights were on-time at UK airports in the third quarter (July to September) of 2014.


Bristol airport had an average 2014 on-time performance (OTP) rating of 94.4%, the highest of all small, medium and large airports, according to leading aviation data provider OAG. The table-leaders for the three categories were:
