The first flight from Heathrow (March


30), to be operated by a US Airways Boeing 757-200, will depart at 08.20, arriving into Philadelphia at 11.35. The return flight will provide a more


convenient daytime departure option for customers connecting from airports along the east


coast. It will leave


Philadelphia at 09:55 and arrive at 22.20 the same day. The service will be operated as part


of the airline’s agreement with fellow oneworld® member British Airways. Together, the two airlines will operate four daily flights year-round between the two cities. Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines (with

ROAD TRIPS GET TRADE TALKING ABOUT THE USA! LAST November saw the Visit USA Association on the road once again for its seventh series of UK roadshows, following the


sell-out success of the event in


previous years. The roadshows visited London (Chelsea


FC), Belfast (Europa hotel), and, for the first time, Nottingham (Crown Plaza hotel). Over 25 Visit USA Association members


– from airlines to destinations to attractions to hotel groups – were in attendance. Each event offered a free-circulation


table -top event for networking, followed by dinner and entertainment. The format provided ample opportunity


for frontline counter staff, tour operator reservations staff and homeworkers to meet face to face with VUSA members. Agent feedback has been excellent to


date, with many commenting on how well the format of the evenings worked in such a free-flowing environment. Agents also remarked that, by hosting the questionnaire online in advance this year, there was more time for conducting business during the actual events. In turn, our members were impressed by the quality of the agents who turned up this year, commenting how valuable they found the networking opportunities. Remarked Jo Piani, Co-Chair of the Visit


USA Events Committee: “We had a wide variety of interesting Visit USA exhibitors that showcased their US product to an audience of highly engaged, quality agents. “The


events provided a fun-filled
