Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are the only territories in the Atlantic time zone. As in the UK, there is a system of Daylight Saving (Summer Time) from the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, so for most of the year the East Coast stays five hours behind Britain, and the Pacific Coast 8 hours behind. However, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands, and part of Indiana and Arizona, do not observe Daylight Saving Time.
