British visitors not only love crossing the Atlantic to take a holiday Stateside, they love to spend as well. In 2013, travel receipts from the 3.8 million Brits who visited the US reached almost $10,500 mil- lion, excluding air fares – levels unseen since 2008. The figures, from a report unveiled by the US Department of Commerce’s National Travel and

verybody loves a bargain, and with the pound riding high against the dollar of late, British shoppers have been getting far more bang for their buck.


Tourism Office, also show that shopping is the most popular activity option for British visitors in America, making visits to shopping centres and outlet malls a fundamental part of most holidaymakers’ stays now. There are opportunities to grab great deals right across the country, too, and new shopping facilities continue to open. One of the newest is in Kentucky, where July


2014 saw the opening of the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass, the first designer outlet mall in the state and tempting shoppers with more than 80 stores.
