PBA Xtra

Memory Lane: Stus’s shirt in this shot sports a couple of historically interesting logos. Firstly, the Ninja, another early reactive ball, released by AMF in late 1992. But more significant is Stus’s Turbo Grips logo. Bob learn Jr., a five- time PBA Tour titlist and longtime Turbo staffer, said during an Aug. 20 appearance on the Let’s Go Bowling radio show that Stus “had a strong affiliation with Turbo” and recalled bowling with Stus at the old National Team Challenge events during Stus’s competitive career. Learn said Stus “always was so lively, and so full of life, and always brought something when he entered a room.”
