None other than the winningest player in PBA Tour history, Walter Ray Williams Jr. He captured the


2009 Motor City Open at Taylor Lanes in Taylor, Mich., before the inaugural WSOB moved to Thunderbowl in nearby Allen Park for the rest of its run.

Wes Malott and Norm Duke teamed up to win the Mark Roth-Marshall Holman Doubles Championship, after bowlers from


Australia, England, Finland and Colombia claimed all of the individual titles.

In 2013, Greg Young won the Teen Masters Grand Championship, which took place during the WSOB. Young received a college


scholarship valued at $64,000.


In 2010, Yong-Jin Gu of Korea won the Scorpion Championship, just before Osku Palermaa of Finland captured the GEICO Shark


Championship.


Not only does a woman top the WSOB Cheetah average list, but an international woman player: Clara Guerrero. The native of Colombia has


rolled at a 243.6 clip for 15 games. Among players with at least 50 Cheetah games, Norm Duke is the leader at 240.78.


The 2009 Cheetah Championship did not utilize a traditional stepladder format. A single- elimination match play bracket was used


throughout, and in the best-of-seven title match, Norm Duke defeated Ryan Ciminelli, 4-1.
