Sze explains how, under PGAV's guidance, Chimelong assembled an experienced team to realise the aquarium: “For the design there was not really much choice. We talked two vendors, neither of which was large enough to do the whole project, so we split the business half-and-half between them. We were then given a shortlist of companies to do the life


support systems, and made interviews with the different vendors. For the fish, we basically sourced them from other facilities around the world, and then recruited experts to look after them here in Zhuhai. With this approach, we were not approaching this as outsiders.” To design the hotel, Chimelong brought on board
