Just who is this adorable baby? Amanda Cailier shared this image with USA Curling of her then
6-month old son who went to the Younggren family bonspiel in Hallock, Minn., which included more than 50 people. “Curling has always been a big deal in our family and it was so much fun to see everybody learning and enjoying our sport,” Cailier said. But it might have been the curling hat (or the model) that attracted the most attention that week-
end. “We have received so many compliments on his curling hat so I thought it would be appropriate to share it with the U.S. Curling Association. Definitely starting him off loving the sport young!”
Vernon Davis, Pro Bowl tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, was the honorary captain for the U.S. curling squad for the second straight Olympic Games. Davis spent time with the U.S. team, including Allison Pottinger (leſt) and Jeff Isaacson, and took in curling matches and other Olympic competitions. Davis assisted USA Curling with its media outreach, spending time talking curling on NBC live with Al Michaels, FOX Sports, Weather Channel, and in several print media outlets.
Fans from New Orleans (below) showed support for the sport of curling during the Olympics.
