active community volunteer and leader. “[Dally] is a student who can be called upon at any time for a task and have no worries about getting done,” stated Pam Hayes, Librarian and Student Council Sponsor. “She is a very deserv- ing young lady who will go on to be a very productive and giving citizen.” Being a giving citizen is evidenced by Dally’s active roles in coat drives, equine therapy and blood drives. Between her studies and work, Dally has little free time. But when she does, she enjoys competing in rodeo speed events, such as goat tying, pole bending, and barrel racing. To those who know her, it is no surprise she plans to continue on to veterinary school. “Dally has a love for animals,” points out Deidre Flynn, educator and family friend. “She has spent her summers interning as a veterinarian’s assistant to help determine her college aspirations.” Lexie Baker

During high school, Erin was a mem- ber of National Honor Society, served as her class reporter, and was selected for Girls State. She was also active in S. W. A. T (Students Working Against Tobac- co), volleyball, cheerleading, and served on the Safe School Committee. Important to Erin are opportunities to volunteer within her community, spending many of her hours helping at the elementary school and serving as an activity leader for children’s church. Debbie Morgan, counselor for Salina High School, is enthusiastic about Erin’s future.

Lexie Baker is congratulated by District 3 trustee Everett Johnston.

“I believe her volunteer work with children has helped infl uence her career decision. Erin plans on working with children in the medical fi eld. She has ex- celled in school and made volunteering an important part of her life—all while working 15-20 hours a week as a waitress at a local restaurant. I have the utmost confi dence Erin will make great contri-
