In addition to the Groupcall Emerge app for Schools, we have designed a new version specifically for parents. The Emerge for parents app is designed to improve parental involvement allowing parents to receive and view information pushed directly to their mobile phones keeping themupdated on a wide range of events in close to real time.
The systemis completely automated within the school. All information is extracted directly fromthe schoolsManagement Information System(MIS) and the school decides what information parentsmay view.
Parents will be able to select the required child/children and drill down into their information. The data available to parents will be exactly the same that is available to teachers. However, there will be notable exceptions to this rule e.g. parents will not be able to see other participants in behaviour/achievement events, or anything else that would impinge on data protection guidelines.
Parents will have the ability to receive push notifications to their smart phone including absences fromschool, assessment results, achievement/behavioural events, timetables and a calendar showing all events/activities. The parents will be able to choose which notifications they receive.
