noRTH HAMPsHiRe & THAMES VALLEY

2013 has been a buoyant recruitment market in the Thames Valley and Basingstoke region. Although salaries have maintained

a steady level the

market has shown some extremely positive signs with a number of newly created roles coming into the market. The types of positions that have featured heavily have been for qualifi ed Financial Analysts and Business Partnering positions. Additionally, we have noted an increased quantity of positions for Financial Controllers than in the previous 2 years.

Demand remains very high for part qualifi ed candidates, especially those close to qualifi cation, however the demand can out strip the quantity of candidates active in the market, so employers need to offer strong study packages in order to attract the top talent. As in 2013, the transactional roles have been plentiful and in particular the areas of Purchase Ledger and Credit Controller which has driven an increase in salaries required.

The salary information below represents the minimum and maximum salaries we would expect to see for the listed job titles within the geographic region. The fl uctuations are predominantly based on the size and sector of the organisation. We have not included non salary related benefi ts in the survey.
