 We fi rmly believe that new products and innovations are a key response to meeting the challenges of today’s market conditions. The title of the ‘Most Innovative Brand’ is the highest award presented annually by the German organisation Plus X Award. We have received the award in the sports equipment category for the second year in a row.


The brands distinguished by this award are chosen for their outstanding achievements in the areas of quality, design, user experience, functionality, ergonomics and environmental consciousness. Receiving this award has certainly been a validation of our vision for Elan to become number one in sporting goods innovation.


The company’s history goes back to 1945. In the 1970s and 1980s Elan equipped sporting venues for:

Elan Inventa and EuroBasket 2013


The renovation and fi tting out of sports halls for EuroBasket 2013, which was held in Slovenia, was taken over by Elan Inventa. The fi ve venues welcomed Europe’s 24 top national teams, which competed for the prestigious title of EuroBasket Champion from 4-22 September 2013.


 The multi-purpose arena at Stozice, Ljubljana (Slovenia) opened its doors in 2010. The arena, with a maximum capacity of 12,500, is a sports facility befi tting any European capital city. As a venue, the state-of-the-art Stozice Arena attracts many sports teams and hosts music concerts and other large- scale sports and entertainment events.

Handball


 Elan Inventa has been at the Handball World Championships twice in a row. In 2011 Elan Inventa fi rst supplied IHF- certifi ed handball goals for the Women’s Handball World Championship, which was held in Brazil in December 2011. A year or so later, in January 2013, a special series of superior-quality handball goals was made for the Men’s World Championship which was held in Spain. The product is made to all the highest standards, is IHF certifi ed, and, for this special occasion, was featured in Spain’s typical yellow-red colour scheme.


And fi nally, Elan Inventa also equipped the Woman`s Handball World Championship with the ITF certifi ed handball goals, taking place in Serbia, from 6 – 22 December, 2013.
