The Big Question
THE BIG QUESTION:
What multisport-related product is at the top of your wish list this holiday season?
The Garmin Forerunner 910XT is at the top of my wish list this holiday season! I am training for USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals this year and it would be the perfect product to help me analyze, track and improve in each sport with a seamless transition. — Brianne Vogan, 33, Cambridge Springs, Pa.
With the holiday upon us, I would love to have more time to train! But if I had to choose an object, I would say a new aero helmet.
— Chris Juden, Bakersfield, Calif.
At the very top of my list is the Specialized Fuel Cell. I’ve been struggling with how to carry tools and gels and this might just be the perfect solution.
— Aimee Dziekan, 39, Bloomington, Ill.
The only item on my wish list is absolutely free. Workout more in that wonderful gadget called the outdoors and only go inside when the weather is totally, totally awful. — Gordon Sargent, 66, Tijeras, N.M.
As a triathlete, I want the Recon Jet, so that I can see what I am doing and still be looking at the road while dodging Amish Buggies, tourists and road apples. As race staff, I want either an XTERRA stand-up paddleboard to make guarding easier or a new set of Park Tools and case for when I’m the tech (I often am a bike tech at races and lifeguard, sometimes tech/guard/triathlete all in one day) — Mike Siers, 41, Paradise, Pa.
I would love a GoPro Hero for my birthday/Christmas gift for triathlon training, which I often do solo, so it would
Top of my wish list this holiday season is a wetsuit. ... Since my goal is to move out to San Diego where the Pacific shows no mercy!
— Ali Dolan, 26, Miami Beach, Fla.
At the very top of my wish list is a triathlon bike with aerobars and a Rudy helmet to help me go faster on the bike leg. My current race bike (Schwinn) is a heavy, sturdy road bike that has supported me well until now. But in the last couple races I have definitely pushed it to its limit. I think once the thought ‘I could go even faster if only my bike would let me’ crosses your mind — it is time to upgrade!
— Sybille Rex, 45, Boston, Mass.
A nice pair of deep-rimmed carbon aero race wheels! — David Price, 49, Franklin, Tenn.
also be a safety tool. I also stand-up paddleboard and surf. I would love to capture my ocean moments on East Oahu’s Maunalua Bay to share as frequently as I use Instagram! — Paula Bender, Honolulu, Hawaii
Heart rate monitor watch to take my triathlon training to the next level.
— Brian Mulvey, 50, Norwell, Mass.
I competed, and won my first Duathlon National Championship title at eight weeks pregnant. I am due one month prior to 2014 Nationals. I need a treadmill so I can train and be a new mommy at the same time. All it takes is a lot of heart and little speed!
— Courtney Robles-Wiseman, Corona, Calif.
