Lasting colour
A technicolour stairway using Centriforce’s Duraplas®
recycled plastic
profiles is maintaining colourful and appealing surroundings for visitors to the pools, chutes and slides at the Alton Towers Resort Waterpark in the Splash Landings Hotel.
The painted softwood spindles and posts around the original stairwell were vulnerable to discolouration and rotting requiring a complete and costly annual replacement programme. These were replaced by new Duraplas balustrades, which provide a durable, water-resistant solution in four colours, as well as a natural wood shade. They will withstand heavy use and stay looking bright and fresh for many years of service without active maintenance.
