The Scottish Beauty School (NSI Scotland) have been awarded the Lipolift pro body wrap distribution and will become the exclusive training centre for Scotland.
Reality show‘will not belittle industry’
The hair and beauty industry has taken centre stage on MTV this season with the launch of reality TV show Beauty School Cop-Outs, which features eight appearance-obsessives taking on tasks set by their mentor.
Filmed inManchester, the group – said to be desperate for a career in the beauty industry – were filmed learning skills including hairdressing, waxing and massaging by salon owner, Jamilla Paul.
“This show isn’t about humiliating them or laughing at their failures, although there will be lots of tears and
laughter, but about helping them understand what they need to learn to have a successful career in this industry,” says Jamilla.
She adds: “I’m not sure what the producers thought they were getting when they hired me, but I’m determined the programme will not belittle the industry. I will focus on tasks that will reveal the best side of hairdressing and beauty, and the level of commitment needed to master the crafts.”
Beauty School Cop-Outs is aired onMTV on Tuesdays at 10pm.
Since its launch in February, the Lipolift pro has seen sales grow and the wrap become a bespoke salon service due to its unique adipocytosis action, breaking down fat cells and aiding in the elimination from the body. Lipolift pro body wrapping courses will be available at the Scottish Beauty School in Hillington Park, Glasgow from January, as will the Lipolift pro solution and accessories.

Naomi Oni, a winner of Inspiration Awards forWomen, was treated to a brow reconstruction treatment by Debra Robson LDN recently. Naomi was left scarred and partially blinded after she was subjected to an acid attack in which her face was left severely disfigured.
Debra Robson LDN, along with LoveLite, were sponsors of this year’s The InspirationAwards for Women, and Debra Robson was happy to treat Naomi at her Harley Street Clinic.

Pure celebration
Leading professional beauty brands are celebrating after taking top spots in this year’s Pure BeautyAwards, held at London’s Savoy hotel.
Hosted by TV presenter Rick Edwards, the awards were created to unearth the most innovative and exciting beauty products launched over the past 12 months.
Elemis scooped the night’s top honour of ‘Pure Beauty Product of theYear’ and also ‘Best Premium Anti-Ageing Launch’ for the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, whilst tanning brand Sienna X walked away with ‘BestArtificial Tanning Launch’ for their Q10 Express TanningMist.
NicolaMatthews, Sienna X Founder andMD, told GN: “Winning this year with our advanced Q10 Express TanningMist is amazing as we were a runner up last year with the Sienna X Instant Bronzing Gel.”
