Masterclass offers PAs a chance to hone their organising skills
Executive and personal assistants in Singapore have a chance to gain insights and skills needed for organising events, thanks to a full-day masterclass in corporate event management. Led by James Matthews, director of
ThinkTank Media, Sydney, the master- class will give assistants a grounding in both the theory and practice of creating and running events. With tailored content, it is designed
to offer expertise in event planning, organisation, execution and analysis. A combination of presentation material and group exercises is used, and an events kit with checklists and example plans is given to all participants. “Executive assistants often have to
organise large events on top of their day-to-day responsibilities, placing extra pressure on an already time-intensive job,” says Matthews. “In bringing this course to Singapore, I’m looking forward to showing attendees howto create,manage and run fantastic events in the most time-efficient way possible.”

Married to a former EA from Goldman Sachs, his insight into the EA/PA industry inspired him to create events and courses tailored for these professionals, leading to the creation of Australia’sCorporatePASummit, held in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, as well asAuckland inNewZealand. The summit is now in its 10th year. Matthews is also committed to
helping raise money and awareness for WestmeadChildren’sHospital in Sydney, where his daughter Isabella has had surgery. Achieving a long-term personal goal, Matthews has completed the New York Marathon, raising funds for the children’s hospital in the process. Singapore’s ThinkTank Corporate
