One of the great things about attend- ing a trade show is that you not only make great contacts, you alsomeet interesting people and even make a friend or two. And so I end up in the best of company at IT&CMin Shanghai, which I have been attending since it was launched in 2007. Because EAs and PAs often have to
organise events, weare keento help youalso get the best from MICE (business events) exhibitions. We have already started the ball rolling with our Australia edition, where I led a group of our readers to AIME in Melbourne – the second time our readers have been fully hosted buyers
there. And this year we are making history again with a group of our readers attending CIBTMin Beijing. Our aim bring these opportunities to
our readers throughout Asia. We’re keen to see you being hosted at the various shows for which we are a media partner. Also, takingthe lead fromourAustralia
andUKissues, we’d like to see youmore involved on the editorial side of Executive PA Magazine Asia, so I urge you to join our reader panel. You’ll see in this issue
how our readers are responding to this opportunity, so don’t be left out – it’s good to raise your profile in the industry, and being published in an international magazine looks great on your CV. Finally, just to show how the world is
shrinking, I was at the Noosa Food & Wine Festival in Queensland when I ran into chef Andre Chiang (pic- tured) from Singapore, whose restaurant Andre featured in our corporate diningfeature in Executive PA Magazine Asia last year. This issueweare fea- turingrestaurants inBangkok. There are plenty of other
featureswe think you’ll enjoy aswell. Let us know what you think.
Our cover Down the GreatOcean Road in Victoria, the 12 Apostles are just some of Australia’s natural wonders that are attracting incentive groups. See the story on page 11. There is also the Great Barrier Reef, rainforests, Uluru in Australia’s red heart, plus the beaches and lifestyle of Sydney. Read why Australia is so popular with incentive groups in our special feature on page 29.
