Expo Riva Schuh India passes its third test
Expo Riva Schuh India, the first and only event in India entirely dedicated
to the finished product of footwear and leather accessories, concludes with positive results its third edition held from July 4th to 6th in New Delhi, and registering 4,477 visitors (18% up, compared to last year).
“Expo Riva Schuh India has established itself as an extremely important
networking opportunity for all the professionals in the production and distribution chains – states the President of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, Roberto Pellegrini. The event has been able to create a business platform, capable of forming a link between the Indian and international operators, providing a winning mix between the products on display, services and strategic contact between all the Italian and European brands who wish to build a distribution network in India.
Over and above the exhibition, the visits to the manufacturing companies
of Agra and the DLF Emporium, the main luxury shopping mall in New Delhi, also met with great success: all excellent opportunities to gain a greater knowledge of a market that is evolving rapidly”.
Expo Riva Schuh India is by now acknowledged at international level and
attracts buyers from all over the world, especially from Saudi Arabia, Australia, Africa, Central and Southern America, in addition to the existing presence from Europe, especially Spain, France and Russia.
Also worthy of note is the high quality of the top buyers present at the
fair, representing important brands and international chains: Bata, Diesel, Fila & Fila India, H&M, Lee Cooper, Lotto, Mephisto, Park Lane Shoes, Reebok, Samsonite, Tempe (the Inditex Group) and Vivarte. Then there was the important presence at Expo Riva Schuh India of the principal Indian chains, such as Catwalk, Inc.5, Liberty, MB Footwear, Metro, Pantaloon, Regal Shoes, Reliance and Woodland.
Furthermore, the ad hoc strategy of the event amongst e-commerce
portals led to the development of contacts with the main Indian on-line portals, amongst which were
Ebay.in,
FlipKart.com and
Jabong.com.
The event has strengthened it success thanks too to the collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and also the synergy with the Indian International Leather Fair (IILF), an exhibition dedicated to the leather industry and related technologies, which took place alongside Expo Riva Schuh India, providing a unique and comprehensive offer within the overall Indian panorama.
Great interest too in the Top Fashion Area dedicated to the excellence of the “Made in Italy” labels, amongst whom were Antonio Maurizi, Baldinini, Cerutti, Formentini, Gianfranco Butteri, Giovanni Fabiani and Loriblu. These brands presented their extremely high level products, aimed at satisfying the tastes of a consistently developing Indian middle class, for example with gentlemen’s moccasins with a classic cut and of the highest quality along with dramatic ladies designs, ideal for special occasions such as ceremonies and weddings.
