MODA PREVIEW Footwear brands flock to


More than 400 footwear brands will flock to the NEC Birmingham between the 11-13 August, as Moda Footwear returns this spring/summer.


T


he UK’s largest footwear trade show will feature brands from across the globe offering


the latest in men’s, women’s and children’s designs. Among the brands appearing at the show are a host of industry favourites including, Rockport, Geox and Chatham Marine, who all return to Moda Footwear with their latest collections. Nautical trends will lead the way in men’s footwear at the show, with both Rockport and Chatham Marine drawing on blue, white and red colourways in a range of barefoot- friendly boat shoes and moccasins. In women’s footwear the latest Geox palette covers the full colour spectrum from soft pastels to bold fuchsia pinks. Joining the roster this season,


Austrian label Högl will debut its 1950s inspired collection of pumps, slingbacks, sandalettes and ballerinas in a range of high-shine candy colours. Elsewhere, Joules’ take on the classic wellington boot, which features bold flower prints, bows and high gloss finishes, will lead its line-up of ladies plimsolls, moccasins and muck boots on the brand’s first outing at the show. Once again Moda Footwear will be


edited into five key areas, Life, Express, Essential, Boutique and Kids, making it easier for visitors to find the trade shows they are looking for. In Kids, Pediped will return with its latest machine washable athletic and adventure shoes, as well as presenting new interpretations of its more classic styles. Lelli Kelly’s trademark colourful


prints are also set to return to the show, with the brand’s latest collection of canvas shoes and baseball boots for girls decorated with hand-sewn beads.

Babybotte and Primigi, who will all be offering the best from their new collections. In addition to these dedicated


zones, Select will also feature the latest in contemporary men’s footwear and apparel. Launching new to the UK and debuting in this area, Inkkas is set to make a big impact at the show with its fusion of traditional South American textiles and current shoe styles. The brand’s selection of handmade shoes will be joined in Select by K-Way, Plimsoll and Wrangler. In addition to this impressive


line-up, the Moda seminar programme will return to provide added value this season offering practical advice and knowledge for developing businesses free of charge to all visitors. With business leaders and industry experts delivering talks across a wide range of subjects including, marketing, visual merchandising and trend forecasting, the seminars are set to enrich the buying experience with practical advice and knowledge for developing businesses. Dedicated catwalk stages will lead


a series of daily catwalks for urban & contemporary, footwear & accessories and men’s tailoring & lifestyle fashion in Hall 20. Meanwhile, fashion, evening & occasionwear, and lingerie & swimwear catwalks will take place in Hall 17.
