The Landscape Training Group The Landscape Training Group (LTG) membership comprises mostly of contractors and employers. Recent feedback shows that many college leavers look for employment having been trained in various skills, but without having the specifi c qualifi cation, e.g. in pesticide application or tractor driving. This is often because the individual has to pay for the assessments themselves, but cannot afford to. This presents an immediate cost to the employer or puts the college leaver at a disadvantage to secure a job at the level to which he/she is trained. This year member companies can apply to the LTG to have the cost of registration and assessment covered by a bursary, up to £250 per individual. It is hoped that this bursary will help support employers and those entering the industry to get a foot on the ladder.
