Projects TXM Plant’s number one priority is the development and delivery of its service to customers. Currently, it is working with major contractors on high-profile projects such as the Liverpool-Manchester Electrification programme, Nexus Rail/ Newcastle Metro and London Gateway. In Easter 2013, TMX Plant also worked alongside Carillion to successfully complete a series of major blockade works as part of Reading station remodelling. Plant solutions
TXM Plant now offers the broadest range of vehicles and the most varied fleet in the UK. As well as supplying vehicles on short, medium and long-term contracts, it provides Plant Operators Licenses (POL’s) which give customers the option of running ‘steel on steel’ RRV’s on rail line. Since the takeover, much of the fleet is being put through a machine upgrade process, as well as a series of pre-upgrade works to further improve reliability and to fit some plant with ALO (Adjacent Line Open) equipment. 'We are also looking at areas where we can invest in new equipment as part of our long-term contracts with Tier 1 suppliers for CP5 contracts,' added Gareth Richardson.
