The R2P system can make travel safer.

With its remote live view system R2P is able to transmit continuous audio and video streams to the customer’s control centre, in parallel with comprehensive data collection, thereby offering considerable benefits for passenger and vehicle safety. If an accident occurs, the R2P system can register this by measuring and analysing the physical forces involved. If necessary, an emergency call can be automatically triggered. The GPS system will report the accident location, while the passenger counting system confirms the number of persons on board. Live images from the vehicle provide information about the condition on board, while the passenger information system can be used to advise and reassure the passengers. Installation of on-board CCTV does help

to avoid vandalism and anti-social behaviour, and it will also reassure the passengers about their personal safety and security. Even without the benefit of remote live view, passengers can be assured that images are being recorded securely and in accordance with data-protection requirements. If there is a need to review as part of an incident,
