Advertorial
he Kopex-Ex range of electrical conduit systems for use within hazardous areas is now the largest available from any single manufacturer worldwide.
T
Proven long life for switch gives low lifetime costs working at 230ºC
ensors UK Ltd are pleased to announce that after many years the MI250 is proving to have an extremely long life.
S
would burn out, the MI250 has a Mean-Time- Between-Failure (MTBF) of 3.89 YEARS!! These silicon free inductive switches are frequently used where object and position detection must be carried out in areas of high temperature such as steel works, paint ovens or manufacturing processes where dirt, heat and an aggressive environment are present. The MI-250 has a working temperature range of 230ºC, with short excursions up to 250ºC where many conventional switches would just burn away or fail.
The MI-250 has been designed to
survive arduous conditions for extremely long periods of time, thus bringing major cost savings on plant maintenance.
For particularly aggressive
environments the standard aluminium head carrier is available in stainless steel. All switches use a 24 VDC power supply, with the option of 115 VAC mains supply for those applications where there is no local DC supply available.

critical power and data cabling in many different industries, including oil & gas, mining, pharmaceutical and food production.
These industries are all bound by global or
national legislation including ATEX, UL, IECeX, GOST and CSA. The Kopex-Ex range for Exe and Exd applications is just part of a comprehensive range of products for use in hazardous area markets. Conduits and fittings for use in potentially explosive environments include liquid tight and nylon conduit systems, together with a full range of connectors adapters, reducers and enlargers. In addition, the XP-Flexible Coupling Range features UL Listed Class I Div Explosion Proof products. All products are engineered to include the critical properties needed to withstand the most demanding of operational environments. Key performance characteristics
include the ability to offer
from water, damage from oils and chemicals as well as the ability to withstand continuous vibration. Anti-corrosion properties, specific fire performance and EMI screening capabilities are included too.

P-Dot electro-pneumatic jetting valve D
SHOWCASE
Widest conduit system range for hazardous areas
resistance to the ingress
ispensing specialists Intertronics, together with their sales partners Liquidyn, are now addressing those applications where very precise non-contact micro dot dispensing is required, in the range of 3 – 200 nl, e.g. for oil, grease, adhesive, silicone, paint, flux, medical products, and many other materials typically used in electronics, automotive, packaging, medical, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food industries – even filled materials. The P-Dot valve can dispense dots, beads and lines of medium to high viscous chemicals, as well as filled products with the size of the dispensing droplets adjustable from 0.3mm to 5mm in diameter at rates of up to 150 times per second, which allows reduced cycle times and increased output and
productivity. Able to dispense from up to 10mm away, process issues due to parts and/or fixture tolerances can be solved by using this contactless dispensing technology.

Update for Solutex Solvent Recyclers Solutex Ltd have announced their Distatic Solvent Recycling
Machines are now equipped with an LCD display which provides a more accurate and reliable recycling system.
Recycling solvents is easy and cost effective with the Distatic Standard, with recycled solvent costing around 10p a litre to produce. Load capacities are available from 7 litres to 160 litres and can recycle solvents containing various waste products such as inks, paints and almost any wash solution. The automatic Distatic Models ensure everyone’s needs are met.
Recycled solvents have the same properties as new solvent and can be reused again and again, therefore greatly reducing your waste disposal and purchases. Furthermore, it minimises the amount of hazardous materials on site and all but eliminates the transportation of dangerous liquid waste off site. Solutex also provide the disposable RECBAGS which are used to collect the waste residues, this means the boiler remains clean and waste is easy to dispose of. The all new LCD display shows various working parameters and will even inform the operator when a service is due which can be provided by Solutex engineers if required. The Distatic Models are cost effective, environmentally friendly and safe and easy to use. All machines are CE certified and models for flammable solvent are ATEX approved for use in Zone 1. The units are well proven with over 36,000 units installed worldwide. Many of the world’s leading companies can testify to the quality, reliability and cost effectiveness of Solutex equipment.
