Sasha is a man who needs no introduction. His absolutely legendary mix compilation series Involver has been one of the only relevant uses of the word “mixed CD” over the past decade, and the third edition, Involv3r dropped this March to widespread critical acclaim. Our own reviewers instantly called it “the best album of the year” and it’s not hard to see why. Sasha’s compilation is “more akin to an artist album for the way each track is wholly reworked, tightly stitched into a greater whole and unmistakably imbued with the very real musical personality of the man behind it.” Now touring in support of the compilation, Sasha will make four Canadian stops, starting in Montreal and stopping in Calgary and Edmonton before finishing off his Canadian leg with Blueprint in Vancouver. The biggest nights are often the first and last shows of the tour, earning the Montreal stop our number 1 party pick this month. See you on the dance floor.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a fan of Eric Prydz, Pryda, Cirez D or even Moo – if you’ve ever been moved by any of this Swedish house superstar’s productions, you cannot miss this event. A longtime favourite among underground house and techno lovers, the iconic, melodic, epic sound that Eric Prydz is known for is slowly making its way into mainstream North American festival culture, which may be why this event is already sold out at the time of writing, weeks before the club show. His Cirez D techno alias has been coming out in full force recently, making appearances at Coachella, Sensation Canada and EDC Chicago as well as in a full-length Mouseville special edition mix for EPIC Radio 008. If you read this mag often, you’ll already know Eric was our favourite set at Ultra this year, and our favourite DJ and producer as well. In his only confirmed Canadian club show of the summer, this event will be dark, deep and epic … get ready.
