New tourism portal for Bhutan
THE Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) has launched a new visitor’s website that offers travel information and advice, an interactive map and the locations of trekking routes, Dzongs, monasteries and hotels. The website also gives visitors an impression of what to expect in Bhutan, from trekking in the Himalayas to festivals, bird watching, meditation, cycling, rocking climbing and fishing. There’s also practical advice, such as
compiling a visa application, money, customs and languages Tourism, one of Bhutan’s
largest
economic sectors, is founded on the principle of sustainability, with all development following a strict environmental and ecologically friendly code.
