What is Sleep Apnea? There are two common types. The
most common can be instigated by factors such as unhealthy body weight, a growth of skin in the back of the throat and snoring. The second less common—but dangerous—is called “central sleep apnea.” This means that for whatever reason your brain is not communicating the impulse to draw a breath while you sleep.
