APRIL 2013 GROUND HANDLING INTERNATIONAL
utilise. “We look forward to getting started, and with a business concept based on concern for our passengers, and with a terminal environment that supports this approach, we will strive to improve punctuality and service. I can sense a high level of enthusiasm in all parts of the organisation and I therefore feel proud to lead this new initiative as CEO. The airline industry is characterised by an environment where outsourcing has becoming increasingly common, and this is a unique initiative that breaks with the trend,” commented Arri Kallonen, CEO of Sweport. “The business concept also includes an idea proven by Höga Kusten Flyg, where we can achieve synergies between personnel groups where possible: for example, services which expand into areas such as check- in, gate and fl ight attendants,” he continues.
Magnus Ivarsson, CEO NextJet/Höga Kusten Flyg, was also enthusiastic. “We look forward to managing the entire chain and fi nding common outcomes with regard to quality, customer service and punctuality. It is also an exciting project that can provide us as an airline with the range of services we need on the ground, and allow us to benefi t from the collaboration that externally we have diffi culty utilising.”
