TOP TIP 3
Reduce your Fuel Consumption on your Volvo 6870 Paver The latest software version (V-1.10) reduces fuel consumption by automatically selecting the most fuel efficient engine speed for your machine.
When you initially start up the machine, the engine speed in paving mode is now pre-set to 1620 rpm whereas with the previous version the default was set at 2020 rpm, you then had to manually choose the fuel saving option. The advantage of this latest software will result in better fuel economy, less wear and tear on the machines engine and hydraulic systems, and reduced noise levels.
How to check the status of the software in your machine The software version can be viewed via the keys on the main dash display.
Press the button indicated in the picture shown left to bring up a secondary display.
Using the cursor keys if needed, to bring up the information screen as shown in the picture shown right. Once the screen has been selected, the F1 key then needs to be selected.
If you find that your software is an earlier version than indicated above, please contact Peter Hughes our Service Support Manager for Road Equipment on
0845 601 2377 who will then discuss with you the options for upgrading this to the latest version.
