Proprietor Robert Taylor is more than pleased with his new acquisition

C D McNeill of Dingwall, Ross-shire has purchased a second EC27C as part of a reinvestment programme as the family owned business moves into a new phase of its development.

The new EC27C is the latest machine to join C D McNeill’s contracting fleet, replacing one of the first of the EC27Cs to be sold in Great Britain some four years ago and prior to that, a history of operating the Volvo 2.5 tonne EC25s over a period of time. This latest edition also coincides with proprietor Danny McNeill’s son Grant joining the family business having graduated from university and spending time with Tarmac’s National Contracting Division. “I’ve now formally

joined the family business to help it expand and progress its portfolio of clients and projects which include anything from private housing to estate work, general contracting, drainage, surfacing and sea defence work,” says Grant McNeill. “We recognise the qualities of the Volvo product in terms of reliability but more importantly the after sales support that comes as standard from Volvo which is why we’ve decided to replace like with like,” he continues.

The EC27C features Volvo’s industry-leading comfortable cab for less fatigue and more production. The ergonomically-designed cab offers greater leg and foot room, making it one of the most spacious in its category and the machine supplied to C D McNeill features the optional high back seat which includes the servo hydraulics levers integral to the seat unit for maximum operator comfort.

Grant McNeill, now formally part of the family buisness to help it expand and make progress

Established over 45 year ago C D McNeill offers a comprehensive contracting service throughout the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
