“We were originally introduced to the Volvo brand when we purchased a second hand Pel Job some years back followed by a second hand three year old EC25 which we ran for four years and were quite impressed with the capabilities of both machines so as it was time to replace the old with the new we opted for the EC27C,” explains Robert. “The residual values were exceptionally good value as well which was another reason to choose Volvo once again.” And the 2.7 tonne compact excavator has been equipped with a fully rotating log grab

utilising the hydraulic supply to the bucket cylinder rather than fitting a bespoke rotation service. “Since we do little to no digging and most of the work is with the grab this solution makes perfect sense,” says Robert.
