SHOWCASING OUR COMPANY
Welcome to edition 20 of the VOICE magazine – the voice of Volvo Construction Equipment in GB.
Just as this edition of our magazine is published the eyes of the construction equipment industry will be focussing on Bauma, the largest event of its kind in the world which is held every three years. As always Volvo Construction Equipment will have an impres- sive line-up of new equipment showcasing new products along with our comprehensive support services in both a large indoor stand and an outdoor arena. A preview of what’s on offer is featured in our magazine.
Closer to home, we’ll have another superb opportunity to showcase our products, of- ferings and services as well as launch our new Operators Club at the all new Plantworx exhibition being held at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry in May. Volvo Construction Equipment is fully supporting the notion that this new event is “for the industry, by the industry” and that it will prove to be deserving of the support of the industry as a whole in Great Britain.
Spurred on by the fantastic result our company achieved in the The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For in 2012 we challenged ourselves and our people to work on the results and observations from the award. There is a real desire to put a major emphasis on the subject of ‘Giving Something Back’. As a result we are committed to making a difference in the local communities we touch. At the award ceremony held on the 28th February we were once again delighted to be included in this absolute measurement of employee engagement and achieving 34th position.
In addition, besides the usual round up of deals done and interesting applications, we visit our Utility Equipment Dealer, Rickmar as they celebrate ten years of successful trading and expand on some details about our partnering arrangements with Al Jon here in GB. And finally, another vintage Volvo has come to light and reveals a fascinating history with its owner Quinain Hardwoods Limited.
