THE MIO Cycle 100 series was launched in Eurobike last year, consisting of four devices, the Mio Cyclo 100, 105 (pictured), 105 H and 105 HC. The range builds on the 300 series and targets sportive cyclists looking for an everyday training companion. The Cyclo 100 records time, speed, distance, height, calorie consumption and tracks with GPS, is equipped with an anti-glare 1.8-inch screen, simple menu and customisable dashboard. Boasting a rugged waterproof casing, the battery can last up to 18 hours. CUBE’S NEW Ready for Race (RFR) line-up is huge and includes a cycle computer offering or two in multiple colour options.
The snappily named
Cube Computer Race is a 28-function device with two optional functions; cadence and heart rate. As well as covering classics like speed (averages, maximum and current), trip milometer, auto stop/start and trip/total times, it also covers off time and date in case you’ve been out riding for a particularly long time. SILICONE SPECIALIST Knog has applied the wrap around casing used in its lights for its N.E.R.D five, nine and 12 function computers, making fitting very simple. The wireless transmitter has the same silicone strap casing and only the wheel magnet requires the attention of a screwdriver. It’s just as quick to remove, so when the bike is locked up, riders can easily take the N.E.R.D with you them. The head has no individual buttons, instead the screen acts as one big button to scroll through the functions. The five function is the latest edition to the range and is available in five colours (from £37.99 to £63.99). One23 components also offers a computer range. The computers are small, strong and have a waterproof

functions and backlight, this Topline device is available from the time this mag lands, as with the rest of Sigma’s Topline range. The computer can be quickly calibrated to the stored start altitude by pressing a simple button combo and when in standby the altitude measurement is frozen and adopts the last stored altitude when the computer is next activated, preventing unintended altitude changes due to weather. Another highlight from the Topline line-up is the BC 12.12 and STS models, pitched as ideal for commuters, e-bike riders, tourers and the like. Operated using four handy buttons on the top or bottom, an intuitive menu guidance system means users can scroll forward and backwards through the functions. Features include coded wireless transmission, auto wake up, max/av/current speed, trip/total distance, clock, MPH/KPH and CrossLoc bracket. Meanwhile, the EX range features greater specification and 2.4GHX transmission for the more demanding cyclist. BBB INTRODUCED its DashBoard computer in ‘06 with reliability in mind and that’s something the brand has channelled straight into the development of its MicroBoard and DigiBoard computers, as well as aiming for a foolproof user interface, one- handed operation and interference and
crosstalk-free communication in all of its designs. The DashBoard range itself has been revamped – still simple but now slimmed down, combining the screen and upper part of the casing. It still retains its 32 by 32 mm display for readability and the simple single button operation. Construction simplification has brought less seams and better weather protection. The Dashboard computers can be mounted on handlebars and stems and include a wheel magnet that fits round and aero spokes.
