JUDGES’ COMMENTS: The quality of Europcar’s fleet, geographical spread and CSR agenda – including vehicle age and safety – made it stand out from the competition. The judges were particularly impressed with Europcar’s flexible approach to consumer needs, corporate agreements, account management and loyalty programmes.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Judges felt Barclaycard had an impressive portfolio of solutions to meet the needs of buyers and suppliers across all spend categories, and it was market leader in the last year in terms of innovative products, including the launch of the UK’s first contactless corporate card.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: This was a very comprehensive submission, clearly outlining the benefits to Deutsche Bahn’s customers. It has an excellent business product and impressive punctuality record, and the judges were particularly impressed by Deutsche Bahn’s business-card product, new app and Eco Plus scheme.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: The judges were impressed with the extensive European network offered by Air France KLM and the service provided, but were keen to stress that this was largely down to the Dutch half of this merged carrier, who demonstrated a willingness to negotiate with the corporate market.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Last year the judges said Qatar Airways was one to watch; this year it is right up there with the best. A very impressive submission, underlining the youth and dynamism of this carrier, Qatar has a great product, a rapidly expanding network and plenty of innovation.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Excellent business class product, both in the air and on the ground, and very positive feedback from travellers – which, of course, buyers like – makes Virgin Atlantic a worthy recipient of this award.
