Kosnic

Of course what everyone will remember about Interiors 2013 is the snow...and more snow. We saw many light fitting manufacturers come on our stand to see our new dimmable candle LEDs, responding to demand from their customers for lamps that could reduce electricity costs. LEDs are now at a stage where they can replicate the ambience and light output of traditional incandescent bulbs, and the Interiors Show was a good place to showcase our new decorative products. We also heard many retailers tell the same story again and again - that they were looking to resell LED lamps in their physical stores in

order to diversify their offering and hopefully get more footfall. Obviously, it is still a challenging market for some out there. Many wanted to know how they could add Kosnic LEDs to their product range. We're growing fast and it was the biggest stand we've ever had. For the first time we had space for two lovely comfy sofas - we were busy busy busy, but many weary visitors seemed to love sinking in to them! Dan, our project manager, also found time to amuse passers by by doing an impression of Darth Vader with one of our LED tubes as a light-sabre! www.kosnic.com

Mandarin Arts Few areas of Britain escaped the snow and ice, but the inclement weather failed to deter exhibitors or lighting buyers who braved arctic conditions to be at Interiors UK 2013.

For Mandarin Arts it was a memorable show, not least because it heralded the 25th anniversary of the company. Surrounded by stands with grand chandeliers, austerity and recession seemed light years away. Our new lamps attracted much attention from regular customers, keen to introduce new lines into their shops, yet our more established lamps still held up well on the order forms. Which lamp was the most popular? It seems to have been the pillar vase with a phoenix and flower design against an antique green and gold backdrop: classic shape, imaginative design and soothing colour scheme. www.mandarinarts.co.uk

Retrotouch

The Interiors UK Show in Birmingham was brilliant for Retrotouch with lots of interest throughout the four days. We recently launched our new range of Glass Sockets & Switches which were a massive hit with the interior designers. The show was put together extremely well and we enjoyed talking to the many thousands of people who came across our stand. We are excited for the Interiors UK Show next year and look forward to showing off all the latest designs by Retrotouch. www.retrotouch.com
