VOYAGES OF DISCOVERY has christened its newest ship MV Voyager, choosing Miranda Krestovnikoff, the TV wildlife presenter, as its godmother in recognition of her passion for discovery and educational cruising. The ship features 270 cabins, 30 of which have balconies. Key new additions include an ‘explorer theme including Scott’s Lounge and the Explorer Club speciality restaurant. Following Voyager’s first two cruises in the Caribbean, it will start on a series of itineraries in Central and South America, heading to the Amazon in early 2013. Phuket has become the airline’s 128th destination operated by a three-class Airbus A340-300 aircraft, EK378 which departs Dubai at 12.45 and arrives at Phuket International Airport at 21.55. The return flight, EK379 departs at 00.35 the following day and arrives at Dubai International Airport at 04.35 the same morning.
