Once again, there will be a strong showing from audio manufacturers at ISE. Here are just a few of the latest products on display

The newly developed AWC Series of com- pact all-weather loudspeaker systems from JBL will be on show in Amsterdam. The fam- ily is designed to suit applications including racetracks, school stadiums, theme parks, fairgrounds, skating rinks, swimming facili- ties and arenas. The AWC82 is an 8in two-way coaxial speaker with high-frequency compression- driver, 120º x 120º coverage and 250W power handling. The AWC129 is a 12in two- way coaxial speaker, also with high-fre- quency compression-driver, focused 90º x 90º coverage and 400W of power handling. Both speakers can be operated as direct
low-impedance (8 ohm) or on a 70V or 100V distributed line via built-in 200W low- saturation, multi-tap transformers. The latest converter from Montreal-
based MuxLab is an updated version of the LPCM (500080) digital audio converter. The 500081 converts one 5.1 channel-encoded coaxial or optical digital audio signal to a standard left/right analogue output. The result is a converter that allows a dig- ital audio source, such as a DVD or CD player, without RCA analogue audio output to be connected to an audio-video receiver or TV. One of the unit’s key features is a switch which selects between TOSLink and S/PDIF inputs. In addition, a TOSlink cable is included to ease the installation process. Italian manufacturer RCF is launching the AX 8042 digital matrix-mixer and automixer. Based on a powerful DSP platform using advanced electronics, it contains eight univer- sal mic/line inputs with selectable 48V phan- tom power on detachable Euroblock connectors (four of which are also on RCA plugs) and six outputs. Four of the outputs are balanced on detachable Euroblock terminals and are included in the audio matrix, while the remaining two are available as RCA plugs and can be separately processed and com- bined to any of the previous four. A number of audio parameters can be
set, such as parametric equalisation, gates, compressors, limiters, delays, ducking, and automatic level and gain control; and two virtual units with four inputs and three out-

M-200i V-Mixer, which features iPad control. The company says the M-200i is a professional digital mixing console with the flexibility of the iPad, and is designed for a wide range of audio applications. The iPad app is fully func- tional on all key aspects of the M-200i’s mix- ing and control parameters, which provides users with complete remote control of a mix from any location in the room. The console features a 32-channel archi- tecture with 17 motorised faders, eight auxil- iaries, four matrixes and eight DCAs; it boasts 24 physical inputs and 14 outputs (expand- able to 64 x 54) with the ability to mix in additional audio sources from the USB port. Presenting products from its Commercial
Installation Solutions (CIS) series, Yamaha says the range has been devised to provide a complete system solution for situations where there isn’t an experienced audio oper- ator available to manage it. The manufac- turer's focus at ISE is to demonstrate how it is suitable for every kind of integrated instal- lation, from the smallest to the biggest. The first CIS series products include the MTX matrix processors, XMV multichannel amplifiers, VXC ceiling speakers and VXS surface mount speakers. Using Dante tech- nology and Yamaha’s YDIF cascade bus, users are able to share audio and connect with all Yamaha CIS products, as well as other professional audio products, on a dig- ital audio network.
