GLI puts compliance data into the cloud

New tool will let operators and regulators efficiently check the status of machines

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) is now beta- testing GLiCloud, a service that lets online and land- based operators as well as regulators track their inventory of technology and games, and cross-refer it with data on regulatory compliance. For example, if a certain machine model is present on a slot floor, GLiCloud will let users access the GLI database to determine which components that machine uses and whether they have been approved by the relevant territory’s regulator. Because it is cloud-based, it is accessible from any computing device and also from mobile handsets using the GLI Mobile service. “Regulators around the world came to us asking if we could develop a way to help them track the enormous number of products on their floor, with a simple solution that taps into our global database so that the information is always up-to-date, accurate and in real time,” said GLI President and CEO James Maida.

“GLiCloud delivers on that promise, and because it links to our new GLI Mobile, regulators now have the power of a global database in the palm of their hand.” GLI says the new technology will save operators and

regulators time and money in evaluating the compliance of slot floors, as well as eliminating the risk of human error.

After testing is complete, the full release of GLiCloud is expected within six months.
